Reflection of Chinese Yun Exhibition (中国韻藝術展)

Solo Exhibition of Lu Tianning ( 陆天宁 )

Lu Tianning was born in Jiangsu in November 1959 and graduated from the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Literature and Art in 1986. From 1987 to 1995, he has been deeply involved in the Tibetan Plateau and engaged in the creation and research of religious art. During this period, Lu reflected on his own art and practice. He used almost pure red, blue and yellow ink to fill the picture with rough lines made from the ink stick being pressed onto the rice paper. In this kind of work, Lu uses an imposing tone, bold colors and a tension-filled composition that accurately shows the mysterious river in the snowy plateau.

There is another artistic style that is different from his modern ink painting in his writings. Lu describes the unforgettable feelings left behind by his life in the Tibetan Plateau. In January 2006, he began his career at the National Museum of Art Development Center. "Lu Tianning’s Tibetan-Style Painting Exhibition" was exhibited in Sweden, Australia, Japan, India and other countries. Lu is currently a member of the Chinese Artists Association.
